The Android has come as a bit of a surprise, no-one was expecting to Google to take a break from web domination to throw a serious challenge to Apple. But, they did, and they have done really well, and in some countries have hit the top of the sales figures for smartphones. The price may have a bit to do with it, but we haven't heard any complaints from players over the phones' playability, so maybe Apple are out pricing themselves.
